Meet "Kirsty" the curlew
 
This curlew painting on reclaimed wood is one of my original bird paintings on wood that's not only been hand painted on wood but also handmade in Cornwall. The reclaimed wood itself is an absolutely stunning piece of yew which has some absolutely beautiful markings on it. It has been sanded and prepared in order to maintain as much of the original character of the reclaimed wood as possible.
 
This little piece of wood artwork for walls comes complete with a saw-tooth picture hanger ready to hang in its perfect location. This bird art on wood would look beautiful in any room or would make a lovely, unique gift for wood lovers or a present for bird lovers.
 
I paint wildlife on wood as I love using wood as a natural and sustainable background to create all different types of reclaimed wood art decor. I work primarily with reclaimed wood and I love to celebrate the beauty of the wood I work with and to enhance its natural markings and character.
 
This one-of-a-kind reclaimed wood painting and has been coated in a flat matt varnish for protection, it should stand the test of time and can be treasured for a life-time.
