"Majesty", my latest stag painting, is one of my large original wildlife paintings on wood. This stunning and unique piece of wildlife art ha been hand-painted in acrylic paint on a beautiful piece of reclaimed Scottish Elm.  I purposely positioned the stag to the left of the painting so as to highlight and celebrate the beautiful markings on the Scottish Elm. 
 
This unique stag painting on Scottish Elm measures 43cm (w) x 48.5cm (h) x 2.3cm (d). It comes complete with a saw-tooth picture hanger ready to hang on your wall. Magesty would look beautiful in a kitchen, lounge, bedroom, hallway or conservatory and would make a lovely, unique gift for a stag/nature-loving friend or family member.
 
I only paint wildlife on wood as I love using wood as a natural and sustainable background to my artwork. Much of the wood that I work with is reclaimed and therefore has some beautiful markings and character that deserve to be preserved and celebrated. This is a one-off piece of wildlife art painted on sustainably grown Scottish Elm has been coated in a flat matt varnish for lasting protection.
