This beautiful pheasant painting on reclaimed cedar wood has been lovingly hand-painted by me in acrylic paint, in keeping with the reclaimed wood. The wood itself is cedar of Lebonon which not only smells amazing but also has a live edge, making this a very unique piece of woodland wildlife art.
 
This pheasant painting on reclaimed cedar wood measures 36cm (w) x 18.6cm (h) x 3cm (d). It comes complete with a saw-tooth picture hanger ready to hang on your wall. This original piece of pheasant art on live-edge wood would look beautiful in a kitchen, lounge, bedroom, hallway or conservatory and would make a lovely, unique gift for a British wildife enthusiast. 
 
I paint British wildlife on wood rather than canvas as I love using wood as a natural and sustainable background to my artwork. Much of the wood that I work with is reclaimed and therefore has some beautiful markings and character that deserve to be preserved and celebrated for years to come. This is a one-off piece of British wildlife art and having been coated in a flat matt varnish for protection, it should stand the test of time and can be treasured for a life-time.
